When I’m looking for a vintage watch for my collection I have a few criteria, it must have a unique or iconic design, it must be mechanical, and it must have an interesting complication. Now I might fudge this from time to time, but fortunately you won’t have to with this beautiful Vulcain Alarm. It’s an absolute beauty with a very clean dial and symmetrical crowns at the 2 and 4 o’clock. Then of course this brings us to the watches party piece the reason we’re all hear, the alarm. Simply wind the crown at the 2 and then pull it out, turn the indicator hand counter clockwise until you reach your desired setting. While the crown is pulled out the alarm is activated and once it goes off it can be pushed in to be deactivated. The Alarm was made for the American market as is powered by an Adolf Schild cal AS 1930 the same manufacturer Rolex turned to when looking for a supplied movement for the Tudor Adviser and Tudor Date Day, so we are talking about a high quality movement.
