On offer is a beautiful Tudor Oyster Air-Tiger from 1959. I don’t use the word “rare” often, but this happens to be a very rare reference. The uniquely styled case measures a diameter of 35 mm and has lugs that come strait out and only measure 18 mm as this reference was never intended to be offered with a bracelet as opposed to the more traditional oyster case. What you get instead is a more classically designed case that still boasts Rolex hallmarks that we have come to expect from Tudor, such as a Rolex screw down crown and screw in case back. This watch has a beautifully preserved “waffle” dial, Dauphine hands and blued second hand. This is a stunning watch from Tudor and one I believe would enhance the collection of any vintage watch enthusiast.
