This is Hoursmiths, a site created by two enthusiasts hoping to create a welcoming environment for all levels of watch lovers. A lot of first time vintage buyers turn to Ebay in the hopes of scoring a great deal, but often find themselves disappointed when that great deal cost a couple hundred more to be put right by a watchmaker. It’s a pain I’ve felt all to often and decided to do something about it. I decided I would search out great watches from my favorite era the late Fifties to the early Seventies and have our in house watchmaker inspect and service them. We would then back them with our 90 day mechanical warranty, in order to insure we offer our customers the best possible experience. Not every watch we carry is a grail piece and most watches are just great every day wears. There’s plenty of dealers selling high end, high dollar watches, but we feel there’s a lot to offer under that level. The sixties offered us some unique designs and color choices from quality brands such as Omega, Zodiac and Tissot just to name a few.

We also took a look at the strap market and thought we could improve there too. Over the last 15 years of collecting watches I’ve learned there are a lot of mediocre straps and a lot extremely expensive ones also. I searched out an absolute Artisan of a strap maker and asked her to hand craft our signature designed straps exclusively for Hoursmiths. We sought out the highest quality materials to produce our hand made straps and we are excited to offer them at an affordable price.

Finally we decided to offer accessories such as knives, key chains, vintage finds and apparel to make us the one stop shop for enthusiast. We hope to eventually mix in our love of motor sport to the shop and blog, because many of us share our love of tiny machines with big ones. We want to be there to enjoy our hobbies together, whether it be on your wrist or in you garage. Hoursmiths is an enthusiasts based business with the passion to bring back great vintage styles and help you along the way with your watch journey, whether you are new to the hobby or a seasoned veteran we want to be there.
